Do you know what the word FAMILY means?
FAMILY = (F)ATHER (A)ND (M)OTHER, (I) (L)OVE (Y)OU!

I ran into a stranger as he passed by, “Oh excuse me please,” was my reply. He said, “Please excuse me too; I wasn’t watching for you.” We were very polite, this stranger and I. We went on our way saying good-bye. But at home a difference is told, How we treat our loved ones, young and old. Later that day, cooking the evening meal, my son stood beside me very still. As I turned, I nearly knocked him down.

“Move out of the way,” I said with a frown. He walked away, his little heart broken. I didn’t realize how harshly I’d spoken. While I lay awake in bed, God’s still small voice came to me and said, “While dealing with a stranger, common courtesy you use, but the children you love, you seem to abuse.

Go and look on the kitchen floor, you’ll find some flowers there by the door. Those are the flowers he brought for you. He picked them himself: pink, yellow and blue. He stood very quietly not to spoil the surprise, and you never saw the tears that filled his little eyes.”

By this time, I felt very small, and now my tears began to fall.

I quietly went and knelt by his bed, “Wake up, little one, wake up,” I said. “Are these the flowers you picked for me?” He smiled, “I found ‘em, out by the tree. I picked ‘em because they’re pretty like you. I knew you’d like ‘em, especially the blue.” I said, “Son, I’m very sorry for the way I acted today; I shouldn’t have yelled at you that way.” He said, “Oh, Mom, that’s okay. I love you anyway.”

I said, “Son, I love you too, and I do like the flowers, especially the blue.” Are you aware that if we died tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of days. But the family we left behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives. And come to think of it,we pour ourselves more into work than to our own family - an unwise investment indeed, don’t you think?

A person who is called successful in life is a person who has a happy family. Family is important to everyone in the world. "Family isn't whose blood you have. It's about who you care about", my dad once told me. Each person has a different and unique family in their heart. Deep inside me, family holds an unchangeable place. The strong role which family plays, family's communication, and its support are the three main reasons that make family so important.
Have you ever thought about what makes you lucky? Many people believe that their successes and talents cause them to be lucky. Personally, I believe having a happy family with both a mother and a father is my luck.

Family is one of the true joys of life. Each one has its own quirks, its own squabbles and issues. Each one also has its own special history, and the knowledge that among the billions of families on this Earth, there isn't another one like it. Love your relatives, and, who knows, you may even discover that you like them more than you thought you did!

From my point of view, I think a family is a group of persons whose members love and try to help each other. One of the characteristics of this group is the motivation to help by thinking of the benefits to members.

I think a traditional family is formed by a father who is the wage earner, a mother who is the housewife, and brothers and sisters. The role of each member is very important because they influence the development and behavior of the children who live inside the family.

The main factor for maintaining a family is love, but it's also important to be conscious that this feeling is pure. Other factors that help to keep families together are respect and trust. Everyone in the family must show respect to the other members because nobody is more important than the others.

Some people think that only the parents deserve respect, but I consider that this is not true. If the kids do not trust their parents, the parents won't be able to teach them all the experience they have. In brief, I think that a family is a group of people united not only by blood, but also by LOVE.
